I got fascinated with hand lettering about a year back, and I have been trying on again, and off again to do something interesting in the space.
My recent obsession is with grids, I bought a book that has all sorts of interesting grids, and I have been creating various letterforms.
I loved working with the grid, but I felt it would be more interesting to work with a distorted grid. So I took a page from my books ( a regular checked one) and crumpled it up.
I then took a photograph of this sheet and printed it out, and then created my letterform on the print of the crumpled sheet.
Thought the out come was pretty interesting, no?
